Makers Haven

3D Printing, Computer Repair, & Photography

Home page

Hi Pullman! We are Makers Haven, a computer/tech repair shop, and start of one of Pullman’s first makerspace.

We are located at 130 S Grand Ave (Palouse Hills Computing’s old location).

My name is Grant Fielder, and I have worked with Palouse Hills Computing for the last 15+ years. Palouse Hills Computing was a computer repair shop based in Colfax & Pullman since 1997. Roy Lord has retired from the business, and I will carry on the legacy of PHC.

We are starting fresh, with Makers Haven, to integrate 3D Printing (and other maker tools) and to innovate. We will still chiefly be an IT repair shop, and work on plans and actions for the integration of a makerspace of the course of time.

I have been a professional computer technician for 20+ years, and will continue computer repair for the Palouse with fair and reality based pricing. I specialize in hardware diagnostics and repair. For more info about me, go check out our About Us page. We are in the process of renovating and getting ready to open our makers space side of the business within the next year or so. Keep an eye out for updates, and thank you for your interest in our shop!

Such great customer service. Several issues came up throughout the process and they took care of everything as quickly as possible. The quote they gave me was fair and reflected the final cost. 10/10 would recommend!

Grant quoted me $80 for just a factory reset after my laptop started having problems and he ended up sticking with that $80 quote while also being able to restore most of my files and put my computer through a virus scan. I really appreciate the time and care he put into my computer and his communication with me throughout the process. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely come back if my computer ever has problems in the future. And thanks for the cool stickers as well!! 🙂

Excellent Service - rapid, friendly and knowledgeable! Liquid spill entered laptop from underneath. Grant opened the laptop in my presence and noted all the several repairs needed, including replacing a tiny resistor on the motherboard. Laptop repaired in 2 days, at the price originally quoted.

I needed to have my phone screen replaced after dropping it 15ft onto concrete. They got the part in quick and replaced it even quicker! Back to brand new! We've taken a laptop here twice as well, and they are quick and efficient and take good care to get everything back up to standard. This will be our go to from now on.

FANTASTIC SERVICE!I'm a first time PC builder, and Alex was there for me when I was struggling to figure what was going wrong. He understood that building a PC that's having problems can be very frustrating, and offered to take a look at what's going on.After a quick diagnostic check, we realized that there was a critical problem - the BIOS on my motherboard needed to be upgraded in order for my PC to boot up, and even recommended a better option for just about the same cost. He spent time out of his day, after hours, to make sure I would be ordering the correct components and emailed me the links to the parts. There are other computer places on the same street that guilt trip you to monetize your problem. From personal experience... don't go there. Go to Palouse Hills Computing. They'll help you out without making you feel bad for wanting to build your PC yourself.
